ACAO Annual Meeting

Save the Date for the 2026 ACAO Annual Meeting! Please join us virtually from 1:00-2:00pm ET for the annual meeting, followed by a Professional Development session, "AI in Action: Practical Strategies for Institutional Leadership" from 2:00pm-3:00pm ET on July 15th.

Chief Academic Officers are uniquely positioned to lead thoughtful, strategic implementation across their institutions.  Whether your institution is just beginning its AI journey or looking to expand existing initiatives, this interactive session will equip participants with practical tools, readily adaptable prompts and leadership strategies that will explore how AI, as it reshapes higher education can support institutional decision-making, strengthen academic operations, and enhance leadership effectiveness.
 
Participants will
  • Gain practical insights into developing AI-informed strategies while considering governance, academic integrity, policy development, and organizational change;
  • Use live demonstration tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to learn effective prompting techniques and explore real-world examples relevant tp academic leadership;
  • Discover practical approaches to leveraging AI to support institutional planning, communication and decision-making;
  • Gain a deeper understanding of responsible and ethical AI adoption.
  • Gain resources and sample prompts that can be immediately adapted for use.
