Dr. Ying Iverson

Dr. Ying Iverson serves as Chief Academic Officer at Capella University. She just returned to Capella where she served in several leadership roles between 2015 and 2023, most recently as Associate Provost and Vice President of Academic and Faculty Affairs. During that time, she played a pivotal role in advancing academic quality, strengthening accreditation and regulatory excellence, supporting faculty success, and guiding the university through significant organizational change.

Since leaving Capella, Dr. Iverson has served as Chief Academic Officer and Provost at Westcliff University in California, where she has led academic strategy, innovation, compliance, and institutional effectiveness across five colleges and multiple academic divisions serving more than 9,000 students from over 100 countries. In this role, she has partnered closely with executive leadership and governing boards to drive enrollment growth, launch new academic programs and campuses, strengthen student success outcomes, advance AI-enabled learning initiatives, and ensure regulatory and accreditation excellence.

Dr. Iverson holds a PhD in Human Resource Development and a master's degree in Comparative and International Development Education from the University of Minnesota. She is a respected voice in higher education, regularly contributing to national conversations on faculty effectiveness, student success, accreditation, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence in teaching and learning.
